Spark Productions
Young people making dance, music and theatre. We are the Mornington Peninsula’s leading youth dance and arts organisation.
Founded in 2016 by Alexandra Dellaportas, Spark Youth Dance Company (now under Spark Productions) has elevated the voices of hundreds of young artists aged 8-25 across the Peninsula through dance.
Spark is a non-profit arts organisation led by youth, for youth, as a platform for the creation of new dance works incorporating youth dancers, youth production teams and youth musicians.
Our flagship program, Spark Youth Dance Company, is not a dance school; rather, an opportunity for young people already undertaking regular dance classes to extend themselves through extra performance opportunities, connection with other like-minded young artists in weekly Sunday rehearsals and opportunities to create innovative and exciting new dance works together.
We also extend our programs to aspiring young arts leaders through various youth leadership roles and those interested in the behind-the-scenes and creative work of the theatre via our new Production Stream.
And the best part? The company and all created works are driven and directed fully by our young people.
